New Layouts and Hot Tropic Freebie

New Layouts: DSO
It's been a while since I've done any scrapping because of vacationing and remodeling.  Vacation is over and school starts in a couple of weeks so I've taken the opportunity of a quiet weekend to do some pages with some of the lovely photos that my daughter took.

Jazzy's Words to Delite is back with some beautiful new word art.  She currently has four new sets available at DigiScrap Obsession.  This word art is from Potluck and contains a variety of themes and styles.  I used Kim Broedelet's lovely July Color Challenge posting bonus kit and slightly recolored the word art to match my page.  Click on the page to see all credit and larger image in my gallery.

Every month the designers at DigiScrap Obsession create mini kits using a common color palette; this month the theme is Picnic Promenade.  I used LPand3 Dog Designs kit as well as Jazzy's Words to Delite. Click on the page to see all credit and larger image in my gallery.

For the next page, I created an overlay from Lynn's (LPand3dogs Designs) word Rub Ons from Picnic Promenade.  I used photos of our granddaughters playing at the lake during their summer vacation in Florida.  As usual, click on the page to see all credit or view a larger image in my gallery.

New Layouts: ESS
Escape and Scrap (ESS) experienced some major outages from their web hosting service and I'm glad to report that everything is up and running again.  I created a page using the free kit from the ESS blog, Hot Mess, which is a statement describing the state of their store due to the bankruptcy and loss of service.  Visit the ESS blog and grab a copy for your hot summer pages.

For our Creative Team Reveal this month, our topic was "Dog Days" and here's a page I did with our DGD and little mini-schnauzer, Heidi.  Visit the ESS blog to see the whole story.
I used Cotton Candy Splash (papers) by Ruth Davis and Torn Newsprint Elements by Julie Mead.

Hot Tropic
It's been really hot and humid here this summer.  So when I saw the newest color palette by Kim for the DSO's monthly color challenge, I immediately thought of hibiscus flowers.  I made a mini-kit this month with 3 papers and 9 elements.  Hope you have as much fun using it as I did creating it.  As always, it is for Personal Use Only.
